
Technical REQUIREMENTS
Algeno is a cloud-based service and does not require installation of on-premises hardware or proprietary control systems. We layer as an intelligent layer on top of what you already have and retrieve measurement data from your existing systems through secure communication.


Algeno is a cloud-based service that integrates via API against existing BMS and SCADA systems. No new hardware, no locally installed servers and no replacement of existing control systems required. There are no specific hardware requirements for the subcenters and you can use any vendors for the control systems.










Indoor and outdoor temperature data.

Algeno's control is designed for the most common types of water-borne heating systems and works seamlessly with both district heating and hybrid solutions.
We support the optimization of properties that use heat pumps, either as a primary source or in combination with other systems.
The system is optimized to manage district heating connected properties through intelligent control of the subcentral unit. With the add-on module Algeno Peak Power, you can actively manage the power output to cut expensive power peaks based on your specific tariff structure.

Algeno manages complex solutions where multiple heat sources interact. Here we can control the power distribution between, for example, heat pump and district heating to cover the total heat load of the building in the most cost-effective way.
In cases where electric heating is centrally controlled, Algeno can be integrated to optimize consumption.

Algeno is built to be system independent and operates on top of your existing infrastructure. However, some setups make integration smoother. If everything is not already in place, we will of course help you with how to think about the technology for your specific properties.

Algeno integrates with the property's existing systems via API. The service is compatible with data from BMS and SCADA systems, as well as IoT devices and sensors that communicate via modern, standardized protocols.
The property does not need a specific system – the integration is adjusted according to what you have in place already.
Communication requires a stable internet connection. No large amounts of data are sent in real time. We send measurement data and control signals, which means that bandwith requirements are low.
No locally installed servers and no replacement of existing control systems are required.
The platform is designed to facilitate the work of operational engineers and energy engineers and does not require any prior knowledge in AI or control technology. At startup, we always provide a user introduction so that you can quickly get started and learn the interface and functions.

Yes. Our AI is trained for a few weeks before it is activated. During the training period, the system is controlled by an advanced PID controller to ensure stable operation.
