We believe in open ecosystems where control over systems, data and governance always stays with you as a property owner. Algeno therefore integrates with all the most common SCADA systems, BMSs and indoor sensors on the market regardless of the make of your equipment.


Algeno controls the heating system within the limits and parameters defined by the property owner. It is always possible to adjust these limits, temporarily pause the control of individual systems or disconnect the service completely.
Operations personnel maintain full visibility into what the system is doing via the web application, and manual override is always possible.
All communications are encrypted and our platform is fully operated within the EU in accordance with GDPR. Daily backups are made in several geographic regions.
As a customer, you have full legal and practical ownership of all data. It is available through our REST API for import into your own reporting or analysis systems.
We do not charge for access to your own data. Algeno's API gives you the freedom to use the information in other apps or your own integrations at no extra cost.


Algeno is a cloud-based service that integrates with BMS and SCADA systems via API. No new hardware, no locally installed servers, and no replacement of existing control systems is required.
The open communication infrastructure, in which the property owner sends and receives data from Algeno via an API, makes it easy and straightforward to scale the service to more properties. There are no specific hardware requirements for the sub-centers, and you can use any vendor for your control systems. Here is a selection of those we have integrated with in the past.

HOW INTEGRATION WORKS
Digitizing an entire property portfolio does not have to involve hundreds of complex integrations. Algeno's architecture is built for efficient scale-up through a centralized hub solution.
Instead of separate connections to each individual subcenter, we connect Algeno to your central node (e.g. a parent SCADA or BMS system).
The central node acts as a bridge. Algeno retrieves measurement data and sends back optimized control signals via this single interface, which in turn communicates with all connected properties.
Once the initial connection to your central node is established, new properties in the stock can be activated with minimal configuration. This allows you to go from pilot to full-scale operation in a short time.


Operations personnel maintain full visibility into what the system is doing through the web application. Manual override is always possible, and you maintain full control over the property.
Should communication against the cloud service be disrupted, the property's existing control system automatically reverts to its default local settings (DUC/PLC logic). Control resumes automatically when the connection is restored.
All data is owned by the property owner and is available through Algeno's REST API. We use your data to drive and improve the maintenance of your properties — not for anything else.
All that is required is a stable internet connection; bandwidth requirements are minimal as we only send optimized measurement data.
